Laser Tag Products

If you're like most Americans, you've played laser tag at least once or twice. If you're a fan of the game, you might be interested in purchasing some laser tag products. If you play often, it's worth it to buy your own equipment. If you think you're just going to play once or twice a year, it probably makes more sense to just rent equipment. Below you'll find some popular laser tag products that are available to the general public.

Laser Tag Products

Laser Tag Toys

Laser tag guns that are intended for children are more toys than anything else. These laser tag products are cheap, but also easy to break due to their low quality. You can usually pick up a decent set of 2 guns for $50-$100, while a professional set might cost $1000 or more. If you want a very basic experience of the game of laser tag, or you want to set it up so your kids can enjoy the game, then laser tag toys made by companies like Hasbro are your best choice.

Laser Tag Guns

For the more serious laser taggers, there are a number of companies out there who produce semi-professional and professional laser tag setups. These guns are much more accurate and their range is larger. Also, they usually have more features. For instance, a professional laser tag gun made by a good company might have a life monitor, that tells you how many lives you and your enemies have. It also might show where you've been hitting enemies in a heatmap, or even show your accuracy percentage. A nice laser tag gun can run you $500-$1000 or more, so be warned – this is not one of those cheap laser tag products.

Laser Tag Sets

Since you can't really do anything with a single laser gun, most guns come in sets. These sets vary in size and price, so there's a good selection to choose from. These laser tag products are usually designed to get you out there and playing almost immediately. They are complete with everything you need to play: 2+ guns, 2+ headsets, and in some cases, 2+ vests. A good set of 2 laser guns might cost anywhere from $100-$500+, depending on what features you want.

Body Equipment

For the serious laser tagger, a number of additional laser tag products are available. Most of these are body equipment such as vests and leg wear. These vests have sensors all over them, so it's easier to hit people. Without a vest, the only sensors you will have are on your gun and eyewear. When wearing a vest, you'll be able to hit your enemies easier, and you'll also be able to determine where you hit them. Vests vary in price widely, so I recommend shopping around before you buy. Laser tag leg wear is not as popular, so you might have to look pretty hard to find a good pair. The good thing is that when you have a vest, leg wear really isn't necessary, unless you want the ultimate laser tag experience possible.
