Stratum Laser Tag

When it first opened on November 26, 1999, Stratum laser Tag was one of the largest laser tag arenas in the nation. It still holds the distinction, with its 13,000 square feet of arenas offering different types designs and sets. Located in Mesa, Arizona, it is a must see and a must-play for all laser tag fans who happen to pass through even within a hundred miles of the city – indeed, many players come from other states to play at the Stratum Laser Tag.

The arena of the Stratum laser tag is huge. The square footage we quoted does not give an idea of how large it is. With 90 towers, 15 different levels that have heights from 2 feet to 20 feet, bridges and ramps that go off from one area and lead you to another, everything about the Stratum laser tag arena is huge.

Stratum Amusement Park

The whole complex is even bigger – with the arena being just one part of the amusement part. Its total size is about 18,000 square feet, and the rest of the 5,000 square feet houses restaurants, a Black Hole Time Travel Simulator, and facilities to organize parties on the premises.

The Stratum amusement part also contains a gaming arcade that has a huge variety of arcade games to choose from. If you are partial to arcade games, or just want a break from playing all the laser tag, you ca select from games such as "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme", "Time Crisis: 3", "The Fast and the Furious: 2Fast2Furious", "The Fast and the Furious: Super Bikes", "PGA Tour Golf Challenge", "Need For Speed: Underground ", "Pacman / Galaga", "Silent Scope EX", "Area 51" and a lot more.

Admission and Prices

For such a premier laser tag arena, Stratum laser tag surprises us when we find out that there are no entrance charges for it. It also does not have any minimum food requirement, so once you enter the arena, you are under no obligation. You can go from game to game, or go straight to arena to get your coupons – basically you pay only for what you play.

Prices vary from season to season and from time of the day to another time. As can be guessed, the arena is costlier during the evening/night and cheaper in the day. Because prices vary, we will not go over them in detail, but be assured that you can have a game of laser tag at the arena for as low as $8.
