Laser Tag System
As a game that bridges the divide between virtual world and the real world, laser tag requires a whole lot of equipments to play. Primarily, it requires a laser tag gun that can emit infrared beams. These beams are then detected by sensors worn by the other players – once the laser tag system detects that a sensor has detected infrared light, it will mark that as a kill. The objective of the game is to make as many kills as possible, and eliminate the opposing teams or players. In this article we talk about laser tag system, as well as how to use them to get out the most out of the game.
Apart from the primary equipments such as laser tag gun and the sensors, there is much other equipment that adds another dimension to the game of laser tag. These include the Head-Up Display (HUDs), Laser tag vests, Energizers, remote controls, Base stations, Sentries and Laser tag rifles. The latter are laser tag guns that have a longer range for sniper action and outdoors play.
Laser Tag System and Equipment
- Laser Tag Gun This is the primary laser tag equipment. It emits infrared beam, and is made much like a handgun. But unlike handguns, they also have LCD screens that relay real time information about the players score in the game. These guns run on batteries, and have a number of LED's on their body, highlighting its functionalities. A player needs to hold a laser tag gun with both hands – with the bottom of the barrel of the gun having a sensor that activates the gun only when you use the other hand to hold it. Once the gun has been activated, you can check the LCD screen to confirm that.
- Laser Tag Vests These are the vests that have sensors attached to them. These sensors detect whether a player has been hit by a rival player or not, and when. The sensors can be attached on the shoulders of the vests, or at front and back. The placement of sensors is very important to the game play, because the placement decides when a opposing player is easier to hit and when it is harder to hit them.
- Laser tag Sentries Unlike what the name indicates, these are not people, but laser tag equipment that act as electronic sentries. An important of the laser tag system, they are controlled by the operator to program the game individually.
- Laser Tag Base Stations Another important component of the laser tag system; base stations have animatronics, smoke signals and lighting and act as control stations. They too can be controlled by the operator, using a remote control.
- Remote Control Remote controls are a necessity in the game of laser tag. When you are targeting enemies, you do not want to have a person solely dedicated to controlling the laser tag system manually. With remote controls, you can configure the laser tag system remotely.
Coupled with the HUD units, all these different types of equipment are part of laser tag system that makes for an entertaining game.
